I had the most lovely Mother’s Day weekend back home with my family. But I also woke up at 3:30am on Monday morning to drive Mama to the airport for a work trip, so I’m freaking tired. And, since I’m writing this on Monday night, pictures > paragraphs today (most days). This is gonna be a “can’t wait to look back on these pics one day” post rather than an “omg, so fun/funny/intersting” post. My brain cells are falling asleep at the metaphorical wheel. Anyway.
…
We started Mother’s Day off right by giving presents and then looking through old photo albums… Is it not terrifying how much my mom and I look alike?! Also, check out the sassy olive green jumper. HOT.
Aw! Donna & baby Carly.
Doug E Fresh (Dad) made crepes for breakfast. Top those babies with lemon juice and powdered sugar and you are good to GO. I had one (cough four) of these before my mom and I left for a walk.
We also got family pedicures. Yep, Doug came too (because I pressured him). Spoiler alert: He loved it. I mean honestly, what’s not to love, amiright?
We tested out the slate cheese board I bought for my mom! The verdict? Pretty freakin’ perfect. I mean, I’d eat cheese off of… well, anything. But still.
YAHTZEE! We are a Yahtzee-loving family. We play it obsessively on vacation and lazy weekends. Love it.
Dinner was a family fave: schnitzel chicken with tangy caper sauce, glazed carrots, and egg noodles. Unreal. Courtesy of Doug E Fresh!
Dad finished off the meal with a bananas foster crepe & vanilla gelato. GIMMIE MOOOOORE.
Nothing is better than a weekend packed with family, delicious food, and a ridiculously minuscule amount of homework. Love.
